Meet Nathaniel Harding

Nathaniel HardingNathaniel Harding is the founder and president of Antioch Energy, a premier oil and gas exploration and development company based out of Oklahoma City. He has an extensive background in petroleum engineering, management and statistical modeling, and oversees engineering, operations, geo-science, financial analysis, planning and partner relations for Antioch Energy. Nathaniel is a licensed professional engineer and a Cum Laude graduate from University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Russian. He also earned his MBA from Oklahoma City University.

Nathaniel is engaged and committed to serving his community. The Governor appointed him Chair of the Council for Workforce and Economic Development, managing $20M/year to train and connect the most vulnerable Oklahomans to employment. He has represented Oklahoma at the White House on issues relating to education and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). In 2010 the Mayor appointed Nathaniel to oversee $777M in city infrastructure and quality-of-life projects.

He is a frequent speaker on workforce development, public transit, energy and entrepreneurship.

Nathaniel has collaborated across diverse community networks to solve local challenges. He is a board member for several business and community organizations including the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, Leadership OKC, Foundation for OKC Public Schools, Oklahoma Contemporary, OKC Rotary, Capitol Hill High School Engineering Academy and the OKC Chamber of Commerce. Nathaniel has received “40 under 40” honors from OKC Biz, the Journal Record and Oklahoma Magazine and in 2015, the Journal Record recognized him as one of Oklahoma’s most admired CEOs.

He has been a Miss Oklahoma judge, track national champion, Russian orphanage translator, political party National Vice Chairman, and local TV talk show host.

A Captain in the Air Force Reserves, Nathaniel was deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan at the US/NATO joint headquarters in 2012. He earned the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his work securing safe roads for US, NATO and Afghan soldiers as well as working with local police and civilians while deployed.

Nathaniel was born and raised in the Oklahoma City metro area and is passionate about the future of his state and hometown. He believes in being active in the community and he encourages others to join in and be a part of the solution. Some of the issues he is actively engaged in include education, transportation, employment, the economy and embracing our community’s diversity.

Nathaniel and his wife Amanda reside in Oklahoma City with their three children.
